Weird news of the week.
A Florida man was arrested after he continued to casually call emergency services to talk about several pressing topics that interested him, including Hitler and the Jews.
According to Click Orlando, Michael Gilman contacted 911 five times in five hours. During that time, he also rambled about a supposed emergency situation at the White House, and the need to remove people from their homes to ensure safety.
When he was told not to call 911 unless it was a legit emergency, Gilman informed them that being “poor” and unable to vote is indeed an emergency. The 28-year-old also hung up on dispatchers a couple times after they attempted to reroute him to a non-emergency line, News Daytona Beach reports.
When police arrived to Gilman’s DeLand home, they allegedly overheard him on the phone talking to a dispatcher about, yes, Hitler and the Jews. When cops asked him what he was doing, Gilman replied that he was “talking to your dispatcher because I’m bored.”
The excuse didn’t quite cut it and he was arrested for misuse of the 911 system.
A Chinese man was met with a meat cleaver to the skull after his wife allegedly found out he had a mistress.
According to Mirror, the video of the cleaver — still lodged in the dude’s skull — was uploaded to LiveLeak and has been shared countless times on social media. The footage shows a man with the weapon stuck to the back of his head as he’s treated by hospital staff.
Despite appearing to receive medical treatment, it is unknown what the man’s current condition is.
A Florida couple is under arrest after police say they allegedly waterboarded a teen and tied a rope to his genitals for punishment.
According to an affidavit obtained by WFAA, the 13-year-old boy said he was abused after he confessed to inappropriately touching the family dog. The report says 45-year-old Casey Shackleford and 40-year-old Christi Howell are both under arrest and facing an array of charges. The Dallas News says the boy is mentally disabled and the woman is the victim’s mother.
On Feb. 8, a forensic interviewer was called in to question the child about what he had been through. The boy, who has not been identified, told authorities about what happened to him on Jan. 29.
The teen confided in Shackleford about the dog incident, specifically admitting that he “put his finger inside the family dog’s butt.” After making that confession, the victim said Shackleford grabbed him by the hair and, with the help of Howell, allegedly slowly began pouring cold water over the child’s face while holding a towel over it.
The teen reportedly said he avoided the feeling of drowning by moving his head to the side to get moments of air.
After that, Shackelford and Howell found a “pig rope” and it was tied to his private area. WFAA said the teen was “pulled on the rope as if she was trying to pull him around and off the couch.” The rope was reportedly tied to the victim’s genitals for five to ten minutes.
On the same day as the forensic interview, Howell was arrested and charged with injury to a child, WFAA reports. Shackleford is facing the same charges. His probation was revoked and her bond is set at $250,000. After the boy sat back on the couch, the report said Shackleford then told him to tie the rope around his neck, while it was still attached to his genitals, until it got tighter and together.
This wasn’t the only time the teen said Howell abused him. In the past, the boy claims, Howell would punish him for not doing push-ups properly. He said he was hit 20 to 30 times in the back, butt and elbows with a stick.
The Dallas News says authorities have not released the exact mental disability of the child.
Hey, don’t say she’s not crafty.
A Vietnamese drug smuggler is due to give birth this spring — and the 42-year-old can credit her new baby with sparing her from a death sentence.
Nguyen Thi Hue was arrested in 2012 on drug trafficking charges, and was sentenced to death two years later. The court denied her attempts at appeal.
To save herself, Hue reportedly paid a 27-year-old male inmate upwards of $2,000 for plastic bags of his semen, as well as some syringes. He apparently placed the goods in a “mutually agreed place,” and Hue was able to successfully inseminate herself.
She’s due in April, and after the child is born, the woman’s sentence will be reduced to life imprisonment because Vietnamese penal code forbids the execution of pregnant women.
Four officers were reportedly suspended from the jail for negligence for the case of the traveling sperm.
New Jersey police received an odd call from a mailman on Tuesday morning: that he was trapped in his truck surrounded by angry, wild turkeys.
“On February 16, 2016 at 12:10 p.m. the Hillsdale Police Department received a phone call from the Post Master reporting an unusual incident,” the Hillsdale Police Department wrote on their Facebook page. “He said that one of his Letter Carrier’s trucks had been surrounded by turkeys and the carrier was unable to exit the truck.”
According to WABC New York, the letter carrier — who wasn’t injured during the incident — called the cops, who were able to chase the turkeys away by, well, walking toward them. A U.S. Postal Service press release described how one of their employees was “attacked earlier today by a flock of turkeys” which led to a delay in delivery to three homes.
USPS also wrote: “The safety of our employees is a top priority. We are treating this incident like any other animal attack and will resume delivery to these three homes when we can assure the safety of our employee.”
In the 911 call obtained by NJ.com, the dispatcher can be heard laughing as the head of the Hillsdale Post Office explained how one of their own is “being attacked by turkeys” — and how it has happened before.
Duncan Moseti’s Valentine’s Day almost included a horrific case of murder-suicide. The 24-year-old Kenyan man allegedly suspected his wife, 20-year-old Margaret Achieng, of having an affair with his older brother George. Duncan even told her that he had “reliable information” about the affair. The couple had been living with George for a week or so when the incident happened. Duncan reportedly even told her to leave him and marry his brother to bring financial stability. She told reporters that she cooked Duncan some supper, then went to bed.
According to reports, Margaret woke up in the wee hours of the morning with a sharp pain in her chest. When she opened her eyes, she discovered that Duncan was taking a knife to her left breast. When Margaret pushed him off and tried to call for help, he threatened to kill their one-year-old infant.
Margaret bolted from the home and ran to the neighbors for help. When she came back, Margaret found Duncan lying in a pool of blood. He had taken the knife and cut off his own penis, then threw it out the window.
At that point, Duncan and Margaret were rushed to the hospital for treatment. Margaret is out of danger and will recover, but doctors were unable to properly reattach Duncan’s penis.
Duncan’s brother, George, denied the affair allegations, telling reporters that it was culturally taboo to sleep with his brother’s wife. Intriguingly, in the days since the assault, Duncan’s story has evolved. He told reporters later on in the week that because Margaret had refused his “tireless” sexual advances, he suspected that she was sleeping with another man.
There are conflicting reports from local sources regarding whether the couple have reconciled following the attack. We are taking the lack of reporting on the status of the child to mean the baby was not harmed in the attack.
A Florida teen is in hot water for creating and operating his own (albeit fake) medical practice. And this isn’t the first time he’s pulled this type of stunt.
18-year-old Malachi A. Love-Robinson is listed as the CEO, president, and founder of New Birth New Life Medical Center and Urgent Care in Palm Beach. The problem? Love-Robinson doesn’t have any sort of medical credentials and New Birth New Life isn’t a legitimate practice by any stretch of the imagination.
“Just because you saw a season of Grey’s Anatomy doesn’t mean you could practice medicine,” the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) tweeted alongside his professional picture and mugshot.
According to a press release, on Feb. 4, a Palm Beach Narcotics Task Force (PBNTF) undercover agent visited the medical office for an exam. During the visit, Love-Robinson both saw the patient and provided medical advice. “Love-Robinson was arrested by PBNTF and booked on the charge of practicing medicine without a license. Department of Health served a notice to cease and desist and issued Love-Robinson several citations,” PBSO wrote.
However, this isn’t Love-Robinson’s first brush with the law. According to the Sun-Sentinel, he was arrested in January 2015 for acting as a doctor at St. Mary’s Medical Center. There he watched in on gynecological exams and kept a healthy supply of lab coats in his car.
The publication also reports that the Florida Department of Health became aware of the 18-year-old’s new practice in October and responded with a cease and desist letter — a warning the teen ignored.
But the teen’s family insists that he meant well. William Robinson told the Sentinel that his grandson never lied about his medical background and that he boasted holistic medical credentials — which he received from online courses.
“He’s not out doing drugs, he’s not out trying to rob nobody,” the teen’s grandfather commented. “He’s trying to do something constructive, and if he did do something and the paperwork wasn’t right — he can get ahead of himself sometimes and he may have been trying too hard, but he had good intentions.”
During his arrest, a handcuffed Love-Robinson told WBPF West Palm Beach that he isn’t letting this whole legal thing get him down. “I’m hurt because of all of these allegations. But this is not the first time I have been accused and I will pursue this, and when I do, you will be the first to know,” he commented.
“Physically distracted” — as opposed to, uh, outright masturbating — was the term cops chose to explain how a man ran his car into a van at a Georgia intersection.
Donald Marvin Johnson (pictured) was allegedly trailing the van and almost hitting other vehicles as he was “swerving and driving recklessly,” according to arrest reports obtained by The Smoking Gun. The witness also claimed “the last time she looked over at Mr. Johnson, he had his penis exposed outside of his pants and was physically masturbating.”
This story is pretty straightforward: after colliding with the van Johnson (how fitting) was arrested and charged with public indecency and following too closely. However, this isn’t the 63-year-old’s first brush with the law. In 2008, Johnson was charged with public indecency for reportedly doing the exact same thing — masturbating behind the wheel. Get a grip, dude. (Or, actually, don’t.)
Since 2014, Pennsylvania investigators have been tasked with uncovering the identity of a head that was found with no body.
According to The Daily Beast, a boy named Charles found the decapitated head on Dec. 12 of that year while walking home from school. Wandering off into a nearby field, the boy came across the frozen head, with hair covered in snow. The head also had eyes that had been replaced with red rubber balls. But what makes this case even more unsettling is the fact that the head was embalmed — believed to have been removed from the body with a saw. Neck tissue was reportedly carefully removed with “surgical precision,” the Beast describes.
Only known to locals as Jane Doe, the head with no body has yet to be identified. In fact, Penn Live reported days after the discovery that authorities were seeking the public’s help in figuring out who it belongs to. Producing a rendered photo of Jane Doe, police have dismissed the idea that the body was removed from a funeral home or grave and that foul play was involved.
However, nearly a year later, Reuters reported that investigators have honed into the red rubber balls for eyes. That detail, authorities believed, is a tell-tale sign that Jane Doe may be involved in a black market that harvests body parts. Even with 30 leads, the body still went unidentified. And even with dental records showing her movement throughout the Northeast, and her hair indicating that she took medications for a heart ailment, the only concrete facts police have provided is that the head belonged to a 50-year-old Caucasian woman. One other thing we do know, though: the woman’s head didn’t make its way to that Pennsylvania field by mistake.
Even years later, The Beast points out that Tamara “Tammy” Porrin is still the most likely match. Porrin went missing from central Pennsylvania way back in 1986. Though she resembled the artist’s rendering of the head, her brother remainss skeptical. “I can see a huge likeness of what Tammy would have looked like,” Ernest Porrin Jr. wrote in an email. “But I personally believe she was killed back in 1986.”
Though Ernest claimed he has no qualms with submitting Tamara’s DNA for analysis, police haven’t requested samples — leaving the people of Economy with more questions than answers about this bizarre Jane Doe.
A Georgia couple were arrested for leaving their kid in a freezing car while they boosted sex toys and lubricant from a South Carolina sex shop.
According to FOX 8, Amanda Nicole Savage and Gary Lee Savage of Elberton allegedly stole the items from a Myrtle Beach store on Valentine’s Day at around 11 a.m. Police got involved when Amanda and Gary set off an alarm while leaving the store.
Court records state that responding officers found their five-year-old child locked in a 36-degree car. Employees from Priscilla’s Lingerie Store told cops the couple had been in the store for quite some time.
Though the Savages told police that they were staying at a nearby hotel, the hotel said they had no guests matching their name — leading cops to believe that they were living out their car, the New York Daily News reports.
Amanda and Gary are charged with cruelty to children and shoplifting.
Wife Battered Husband After She Found Dildo Among His Belongings, Cops Charge
Meet Chao Gao.
After discovering a dildo among her husband’s belongings during a move Wednesday night, the Florida woman attacked her spouse, leaving him with bruises and scratches on his face, according to cops who arrested Chao for domestic battery.
As detailed in court records, the 48-year-old Chao and Joshua Sinclair, who have been married for just over a year, were driving to a new residence in Sarasota when Gao confronted Sinclair about the sex toy she discovered.
In a police statement, Sinclair wrote that Gao became furious upon learning from him that “a dildo she found was actually for me to use.”
An argument between the couple then allegedly turned physical. Sinclaircharged that Gao–who was driving at the time–began to “beat and slap and pinch my face with her hand repeatedly” for about 30 minutes. The attack ended, Sinclair said, when the duo arrived at their new home (from which he dialed police).
When a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office deputy arrived in response to the 911 call, he found Sinclair with “injuries of bruising and scratching” to “the victim’s right eye, lip, nose, and forehead.” Gao “had no signs of injuries,” according to a probable cause affidavit.
Gao, who operates a Sarasota day care facility, was arrested on a misdemeanor domestic battery count. She was released from custody yesterday and is scheduled for arraignment on March 15.
An inquest in the UK at the Royal Courts of Justice has heard unbelievable evidence in the death of a 55-year-old woman named Jacqueline Scott: nurses at St. George’s Hospital in southwest London did not recognize the loud alarms designed to warn them that Scott’s life-support system was running out of power.
According to reports, Scott was on a ventilator that had been plugged into an electrical socket. Unfortunately, at some point, that socket’s electrical circuit blew, cutting electricity and leaving the device to run solely on battery backup. When the battery backup eventually ran out of power, “loud screeching” alarms went off. But … Scott still died.
Dr. Renate Wendler, the doctor who led the investigation into Scott’s death, told the jury that “no nurse had previously heard” that alarm. Wendler added that nobody recognized the noise because no ventilator had previously ever run out of power. (To make matters worse, they also discovered that the button designed to call the nurse from Scott’s hospital room was faulty.)
Wendler proceeded to tell the jury that the hospital is not equipped with uninterruptable power supplies site-wide. Wendler also reportedly testified that it was “not realistic” for nurses to be aware of whether the room might have had an interruptible power supply.
Wendler also testified that Scott was believed to have come to the hospital in a “pre-terminal” condition. Wendler’s investigation reportedly “found evidence of good practice and care” from the doctors and nurses. The jury in the inquest eventually ruled Scott’s death due to natural causes.
A man who was arrested for engaging in sexual acts while on a Las Vegas Ferris wheel was actually slated to marry another woman the same day as his arrest, reports say.
The New York Daily News reports Philip Panzica and Chloe Scordianos (pictured) are facing felony public sex charges for the frisky Feb. 5 incident, which occurred in front of stunned tourists.
However, Mistie Bozant — the man’s former fiancee — told KTNV that the 27-year-old had been at the Strip to marry her that day. Things went awry, however, when he found out she was pregnant with another man’s baby. After making this discovery, Panzica allegedly hit the Las Vegas streets and came across Scordianos. “One thing led to another. She was there by herself,” Panzica explained.
Though he says they had planned to do naughty things on the High Roller, he was unaware that people could see what they were up to (despite intercom announcements from security to stop). It became crystal clear that everyone saw everything 30 minutes later when the ride ended and the duo was promptly arrested.
The most unlikely person came to his rescue, too — Bozant, though hurt, posted the man’s $3,000 bail. “I really do appreciate it and I feel bad about everything,” Panzica commented. “The thing that hurts me the most is her kids. I love her babies.”
Panzica and Scordianos are scheduled to appear in court March 9 for negotiations.
A woman has been arrested after giving birth to a baby boy and then discarding the newborn in the toilet of a Los Angeles area Subway sandwich shop.
Customers reportedly saw the woman — who is reportedly a transient, according to the Los Angeles Times — enter the bathroom in West Covina and emerge “completely saturated in blood.”
According to the Mirror, workers at the shop then “followed a trail of blood” from the restroom before uncovering the woman’s placenta in the trash can. The umbilical cord was also reportedly seen hanging from the toilet. The crying baby was apparently “partially submerged” in the toilet.
Employees called the cops yesterday morning after stumbling across the bloody scene. Officials traced Mary Grace Trinidad to another store in the same shopping center — she was reportedly shopping at a Pep Boys Auto Repair and Service shop about 15 minutes later.
The baby is in critical condition at a local hospital, and the mom has been charged with attempted murder and child abandonment. The child will be put in protective custody.
While waiting for a bus, video footage shows a man crouch down, pull his pants around his ankle, and nonchalantly poop in front of a group of unsuspecting bystanders.
Not only does the man lay a hot one in public, but he is the definition of calm while doing so — puffing on a cigarette while he carried out the act. Though one person is seen walking across the street in disgust, another person obviously sticks by to film the insanity.
According to Mirror, the video entitled “Man s**** while waiting for a bus” took place in Lanzhou, in China’s Gansu Province and was uploaded to LiveLeak, where it has garnered 13,000 views.
Though it’s unclear whether it’s a prank or not, you can watch the gross footage below.
