weird news of the week.
Nobody would ever suspect a woman of the cloth, would they? Well, Sister Agnes Pennino of Saints Cyril and Methodius Convent in Danville, Penn., appears to have tested that theory at the local Surplus Outlet.
Zane Kishbach, one of the store’s managers, was approached by another customer, who reported that they thought they saw a woman shoplifting. By the time Kishbach managed to trail her, she had escaped through the front exit as another customer entered, taking $23 worth of coffee, soap, snacks, and shampoo as she went. Workers at the store were able to give authorities the plate number of the car she used to flee the scene.
When police tracked that plate, they discovered that the car was owned by the Danville convent 20 miles from the Berwick store. The investigation led them straight to 78-year-old Sister Agnes Pennino. According to investigators, it looked as though Pennino had planned the theft. She had brought some of the store’s red shopping bags with her to carry the items out, perhaps hoping to deflect suspicion long enough to make a clean getaway. She also specifically did not leave via the normal exit, as that would have required her to pass by the store cashiers.
Pennino faces a shoplifting charge, which is considered a summary offense in Pennsylvania and on the level of a traffic ticket. The most she could face is a fine if convicted. What the convent intends to do, however, remains to be seen.
Prison hasn’t been easy for convicted pedophile and former Subway spokesperson Jared Fogle. Since being sentenced to 15 years at Colorado’s Englewood FCI in November, Fogle has reportedly packed on some weight and sustained a serious beatdown at the hands of inmate Steven Nigg, who didn’t like the fact that Fogle was acting “like a bigshot” instead of keeping his head low.
“He walks the yard, and he’s rubbing shoulders with people he shouldn’t be,” Nigg’s nephew, Jimmy Nigg Jr., told the New York Daily News. “My uncle feels like he should never be allowed to do this. … A guy walks in with all this money and celebrity and instead of flying under the radar. He’s going into the yard, walking around with big guys, saying no one can mess with me, flashing his money around … That’s what [my uncle] is pissed off about.”
Sex offenders, especially those convicted of crimes against children, are generally outcasted by the rest of the prison population, but according to the Daily News, “Fogle’s access to cash, which he uses to pay fellow inmates for protection, allows him to feel invincible.” Nigg has allegedly complained about the amount of child sex offenders being sent to Englewood rather than higher security prisons.
“He took justice into his own hands in this incident,” Jimmy Jr. said.
According to the January 29 incident report, Nigg cornered Fogle in the prison yard and issued a pummeling that left him with a bloody nose, facial swelling and scratches on his neck. Nigg, who is set for release in 2024, was immediately sent to solitary confinement, but Jimmy Jr. alleges the whole incident could have ended much worse.
“Jared’s lucky he’s still alive,” he said. “My uncle was in a position to kill him. No one was there. He got him down, then walked away. He’s not a violent guy, he doesn’t have a violent history. He’s sending a message is what he’s doing.”
According to police, 36-year-old Rickquel Kehoe is facing charges of child abuse after she reportedly took two young children to a local bar with her while she got drunk.
Kehoe reportedly took two kids, ages six and seven, to Kahuna’s Bar and Grill in St. Petersburg on Sunday evening. According to the arresting affidavit, she drank enough to be considered extremely intoxicated. At that point, Kehoe allegedly left the seven-year-old with a man she’d met that evening. She then took the six-year-old with her as she left with another fellow. Authorities say she came back approximately 90 minutes later to pick up the seven-year-old.
Fortunately, there are no reports of the children being harmed, but Kehoe faces one felony charge of child abuse, and remains in the Pinellas County Jail.
A New York father has admitted in federal court to creating several social media accounts and catfishing his own 14-year-old daughter to get nude photos from her.
Syracuse.com reports that the unidentified 41-year-old (he’s unidentified to protect the identity of the victim) acted like the teen’s online boyfriend. He allegedly created fake accounts on Instagram, AOL and a texting service and initiated contact with his own kid in September 2013. Taking on the identity of a 16-year-old Watertown boy, court papers state that the man pretended that the persona committed suicide, then used the nude photos she’d sent to initiate real-life sexual abuse.
During their pseudo-relationship, the “boyfriend” often coerced the girl into sending him explicit photos. When she said she wanted to break up with him due to his preoccupation with sex, the “boyfriend” threatened to send the images to his father — and used this tactic to get more photos from her. “I told you that a bunch of times when we were dating that I don’t like those pics and now you are threatening me that if I don’t send you those then you’ll send my dad the ones I sent you before?” the 14-year-old texted.“My life is ruined.”
After dropping the facade, the father would mention the images when he would sexually abuse her. Still under the assumption the boyfriend was real, the father claimed he got the photos from him. The abuse didn’t stop until the girl told the school nurse what was going on.
The 41-year-old man pleaded guilty to 12 counts of sending child porn and enticing a child to produce child pornography and receiving. He is facing 250 years in prison.
A Florida man who allegedly told police he was speeding in order to make it to the bathroom is accused of urinating and defecating in a cop car when apprehended. Hey, when you gotta go, you gotta go.

While en route to jail, the 24-year-old reportedly couldn’t hold it any longer, and he reportedly pooped and peed in the back of the cop car.
Ramos-Erazo was charged with fleeing, aggravated assault with a motor vehicle on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, and battery on a law enforcement officer. TheNew York Daily News reports that he is now free on $18,000 bail.
A “masked masturbator” is wreaking havoc in Seattle after he’s repeatedly returned to one particular residence and done his naughty nonsense … while wearing a full-body ninja outfit. Oh, and those gross rubber five-toe shoes.
According to the Smoking Gun, a woman who lives in said house first saw the masked perv in January as he touched himself outside the front door of her house. He disappeared before cops could bust him, but … he came back. Of course.
Last month, a night vision camera caught him in all his weird glory as he once again opted to pleasure himself outside the same house’s front door. Nothing but his hands and his genitals were exposed.
Cops think the man may have actually targeted this particular residence four times over the past few months.
The house in question is inhabited by a group of University of Washington students, and they reportedly heard suspicious noises outside their home multiple times.
If you have any info on the man, contact police at 206-684-5575. More photos can be seen here.
Kellogg’s is surely none too happy after a video went viral of one of its employees allegedly seen peeing on cereal products in a Memphis factory assembly line.
A spokesperson reportedly said the company is “outraged,” per KTLA.
The company is now facing an investigation, according to CBS. The beloved cereal brand reportedly heard about the video on Friday and an internal investigation apparently revealed that the incident happened back in 2014. It is rumored to have possibly affected Rice Krispies Treats, Rice Krispies Treats cereal and puffed rice cake products, but don’t worry — it’s nothing you’d be eating today (those products are long expired by now).
